Stone Zoo is a wonderful facility with several different groups of animals from different habitats. It’s an ideal place to take children for an afternoon and is very easily accessible from just about anywhere in Greater Boston being right off I-93 in Stoneham in the heart of the Middlesex Fells Reservation. Facilities, Fees and Other Information:
Stone Zoo’s admission price is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (over 62 years old) and $10 for children over 2. Children under 2 years old are free. Stone Zoo is handicap
accessible and has restrooms as well as concessions (concession hours vary by season, check their website for details). Stone Zoo’s hours vary by season as well though it open year-round. Hours from April 1st through to September 30th are from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and until 6 PM on weekends. During the winter hours are reduced to 10 AM to 4 PM daily.
Stone Zoo is located right off I-93 just north of Boston in Stoneham. From I-93 it’s accessible by both exits 34 and 35. You will see signs from I-93 that will direct you to the zoo. If you’re using a GPS navigation device use the following address to get to Stone Zoo:
